HEMS Green Team receives BGE grant to fund school garden

The HEMS Green Team received a grant from BGE to partially fund a school garden, both for plantings in the back courtyard and garden beds in the front school yard, including edible and pollinator plants.

This initative is also part of the school's push to become an officially designated Maryland Green School. By "greening" our school, we will provide a healthy environment for students and staff, improve academic performance, and save money.
